The Advantages and Disadvantages

The new way to enjoy a fire in your home is to have a gel fireplace. Gel fireplaces burn clean and you do not have to pay for an expensive chimney or a large stove. With a gel fireplace, you can set it up anywhere in your home or even at work so you are not restricted to only one place to enjoy your fire.

The other advantage with a gel fireplace is that you do not have to have it on the floor; you can raise it up to eye level if you like so that you can enjoy the warmth and glow of your gel fireplace at the level of your line of vision.

Gel fireplaces are idea for wherever you want to place them and if you have a certain corner in mind then you will not have a problem getting the style of gel fireplace that will fit your needs.

With not needing any venting for the gel fireplaces, it gives you many more options when it comes to picking corners for you unit.

The only real disadvantage to your corner gel fireplace is you are cutting down your options. If you have chosen a corner model then you have restricted yourself to only being able to fit it nicely into appropriate corners that will accommodate the model and in addition to its size.

You must remember that at your current location you may have found the perfect corner for the fireplace. The problem may arise though when you change locations and want to take your corner gel fireplace with you. There may not be the same space available. With a standard gel fireplace, you have more options. Again though you could always sell the corner model with your house and purchase a new one for your next location.
